Great lights
Love these lights. Put around molding at top of room and connected to Alexa. Works great. Multiple colors to chose from and have had no problems after 6 months.

Less LEDs in second purchase
The strip I bought in December had more LEDs and worked very well. Color isn’t very true but serves it purpose. I decided to buy another one and noticed that there are less LEDs this time, they’re much more spaced out. I’ll be returning these and getting the Kasa brand instead – the WiFi connection is more reliable, brighter and better color.

Can’t produce many colors correctly, very dim, limited color options on google assistant
Installed these as ambient lighting in my room behind and under my bed.Cons:- These really produce very little light. I could tell from reviews and product information even before purchasing that at best, these lights can only work as ambient lighting since they are way too dim to be functional as a primary light source. (You want to check under product information how many “Light sources” (individual LED lights dots) the strip has to see how much light per foot a strip gives out).Pro tip: I had extra leftover LED strip but instead of cutting it off, I simply turned it around and installed it alongside the LED that was just installed (running two strips right alongside each other; see pic).I hoped this would increase brightness but honestly, even after this little trick, I found the difference to be marginal at best.If your wall paint has a semi gloss finish, the individual LED dots may reflect off of it like it does with mine (see pic) so keep that in mind if you plan on running these lights in a way that faces the wall.-cannot properly produce the colors white or yellowAnother thing to note is that there are many colors these lights cannot properly produce. “Yellow” is more of a lime green. There is no way to for it to produce a true “white” color, neither warm nor cool. Actually, With almost every color you choose, you can see the individual colors on the LED activating (ex. “purple” looks like blue and red lights very close together instead of just looking like a true “purple” if that makes sense.) This might not bother you but for me, I don’t like to see individual greenish or blueish or reddish tinges in essentially every color.Flickering lights: It’s only been a few days and some lights are already flickering. A small section is regularly put of sync with the rest of the strip.Pros: They really don’t look great but for $15 for 50ft, with a preinstalled plug & switch, button control, app control, and Alexa/google assistant usable, it’s one of the cheapest available with all these options so I can’t complain too much.Installation was easy. Connecting it to Google Assistant was simple.The only thing I don’t like is that although Govee advertises an infinite amount of colors on its color wheel (see pic) (which isn’t really even true since it can’t even produce yellow or white) the colors available on Google Assistant are even more limited (see pic).I purchased two and decided to return one since these arent that good. I would return this one but I already put it up so, oh well.

At the beginning I let myself be guided by everyone’s comments. Since it looks like a quality product (and it is) what really made me angry (I almost returned it) is the following.The strip is thin and laminated like any other, but the lights are too small and have no power at all. In the photo of my review you can see that I am comparing the Strip Glovee and the other one, which is a Chinese one from AliExpress. And I am surprised that the Chinese one has more power and that the LEDs are larger.Now, what really infuriated me is seeing the following: I pay more than 50 dollars to have a long LED strip since that is what I plan, everything was fine, they delivered me the “long” product BUT if you notice in the photo that I uploaded the LEDs are very far apart from each other making there be a giant space between LEDs, it looks like a SCAM! but that’s because they don’t upload photos of the strip as such..Don’t buy it, well it’s of good quality and works with Alexa without problems but the Leda’s aren’t really useful for half lighting a room, for that it’s better to have a Chinese one and you’re here as a complement or additional decoration….

Similar to what everyone has outlined, the last 1/3 of the strip light doesnt light up or lights up in different colors when specific modes are used through the app where as certain colors are not affected. Perhaps the app is causing the issue and needs to be updated to operate the lights strips that are over a specific length??? Otherwise the light source is what was expected and provides mood lighting to a room. Whether these are on the cheaper end you should expect that when you purchase something that it actually operates as advertised, so for that I give this product a failing grade.

I bought this item a couple weeks ago, the 50 ft one. I loved it, it has big LED lights and they are quite closed from each other which gives a great final result. Unfortunately, 50 ft was not long enough so I decided to get the exact same item, the 65.6 ft one.Bummer! This new one is completely different. The width is smaller, the LED lights are wayyy smaller and the space between the lights is way bigger.Why did I pay 20$ more to get a completely different item??! I’m sooo disappointed!
