I was hesitant to purchase due to reviews, but now I’m compelled to leave one of my own
I think this product got a bad rap so it deserves a couple minutes to place my vote. Quite frankly, the fact that they’ve figured out how to get a 30Kg piece of furniture over the ocean to my doorstep in the midwest USA without damaging a single piece is astonishing. Poor instructions was one complaint – I’ll admit this kit has a tremendous number of pieces and is a challenge to assemble, but the instructions can be followed with a little common sense. Double check yourself carefully along the way. Unboxing was almost entertainment itself, because there must have been a dozen layers, all packed with custom-sized materials – the results speak for themselves but I don’t feel like taking a photo sorry. The locking drawer was an unnecessary plus to me, but it is solid and functional. Don’t lock your Rolex collection in it, but they make no claim to that level of security anyway. Worthy of note, the kit has at least 20 spots that are countersunk, with plastic inserts pressed in them. I sighed the moment I saw them, but was impressed again. Of all the self-tapping studs you thread into these inserts, only ONE of them spun the slightest, and it was like at the back corner of a drawer or something. It didn’t lower the integrity of this very well-built and beautiful item. The casters were another unnecessary bonus. Honestly, they don’t roll for crap in year-old, thick carpet, but I’m happy it has wheels at all because it does make it easier to move around & hasn’t snagged the carpet. One last point – there’s a few spots where the materials bared their particle board innards. That was a plus to me, since it’s a lot sturdier than that fake stuff that some try to call wood.

Loved the desk so much I had to get it
Got the desk first and was impressed so heavily I added this to it. It’s almost perfect. On the back to connect panels they use a white divider, which stands out heavily if you can see the back as it goes horizontally across the length of it. I have this opposite my desk making a bit of a cubicle and the white bar is very noticeable. The power station would also be more useful on other side. That said, man this looks great. The quality is high and assembly reflects this, same as with the desk. Not disappointed at all.

Score went down with the worse instructions got
It looks nice. But if an engineer who made this for his son (who mothers a lot and doesn’t want heavy furniture) struggles with following the building instructions, you got issues. Yes, it’s the typical pressed board junk but we aren’t looking for quality here. But I took a few photos of how the images did not match the actual parts. For example, the metal drawer component has many more holes than the image, and the outlet was not pre drilled. But the worst was what I couldn’t show. The images are difficult to understand which side to use until after you try to put it together only to see it needed to be flipped with near identical sides. The parts also are well labeled with numbers and letter but the order is all over the place. For example, using part 23 to connect parts 10 and 11. But none have been used yet so it is not like it was following a prior order.Pros:-Lots of styrofoam sheets minimizing damage while shipping.-We’ll it works for a decent costCons:-the file cabinet doesn’t lock. The lock is only for the small top drawer leaving any important files insecure.-poor directions-not predrilled holes-bent part (the ring for the drawer lock)-chipped boards from drilling. Often you use a taping process to minimize rear breaks when drilling pressed wood. Not sure if it was done but there was chipping with one example I posted.-poor order for instructions makes it hard to do alone at times when a slight modification would make it far easy for the same cost. Why it was built this way I do not know.Would I get this again? Not up to me. But next time, I’m making my son make it and not “surprising” him while he was at class with his dorm furniture being set up. I wish I could get my near 100 minutes back.
