This is a great water boiler. Its simple, its straight forward. Its on or its off. We use this many times a day every day and its still looking nice and boiling water quickly. The carafe is light on its own, but if full of water, remember that water is heavy. Nothing is rusting so far, nor appears to be likely to rust. Its a tad awkward getting back on the base, as you need good aim to get the holes and the insert lined up, but if you miss, its not too hard to slide around till you find the fit.

This lovely glass and stainless steel electric kettle is easy to fill and works quickly to heat up my water for tea and other hot beverages. Its safe design has eliminated any plastic parts being in contact with the boiled water. Great price too…I love iit!

Really Sturdy but the bottom base is plastic and soft.
The bottom base feels really flimsy. Other than that, it works very well. I really like how easy it is to clean afterwards and the glass is very sturdy as well.

Update: rust or corrosion issue getting worse, customer service frustrating
Original review: Don’t need any fancy features; so far does exactly what it’s supposed to do!3-month update: had it for 3 months (just past return window) and it still works fine. But the metal base inside, the heating element I guess, is mottled and kind of rusty looking. It might be mineral deposits but haven’t been able to get it off like I have with my other kettle and definitely looks more reddish.The option to get product support only gives three possible problems and this isn’t one of them. I will call them I suppose but… not excited about having to spend time on this.6 month update: the metal base is now flaking off into the water. I always rinse it out a few times before filling it and use filtered water. I know what regular mineral deposits from hard water look like, and this is nothing like that. This is black and brown spots on the metal heating plate, and black and brown flecks that come off in the water after it boils. I’m concerned about the health impacts though the customer service ppl initially said it was just mineral build up from the hard water. But… I only use filtered and it isn’t that.Contacted customer service, which wasn’t easy because they don’t have a number on this site or a way to contact them. But I searched for their actual website and used the chat feature. The agent tried to tell me it was mineral build up even after I said I used distilled water. Then they told me my order number wasn’t coming up.
