Solid Backup Power – Just Didn’t Work for Our Pellet Stove
This APC UPS is a well-built and reliable backup power source with some great features. It’s compact, easy to set up, and provides a solid 600VA/300W of backup, which is perfect for keeping essential devices running during power outages. I really like the added surge protection, and the peace of mind it brings for sensitive electronics like our router. We initially purchased it to power our pellet stove during outages, but after setting it up, we realized the stove isn’t compatible with this type of UPS. It’s important to note that this unit doesn’t provide pure sine wave power, which some super-sensitive electronics (like pellet stoves or medical equipment) may require. Even though it didn’t fit that specific need, it’s been working flawlessly for our router, keeping us online when the power flickers or goes out.Overall, it’s a great little unit that serves its purpose well – just be sure to double-check compatibility if you’re planning to use it for larger appliances. For smaller electronics and home networking, it’s been a dependable addition to our setup!

    Unsung hero for your home
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that peace of mind is priceless—especially when it comes to protecting your electronics. Enter the APC UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, a must-have for anyone serious about keeping their devices safe from unexpected power surges and outages. I’ve got these bad boys all around my house, and they’ve been worth every penny. This little powerhouse comes with a 600VA / 330W battery backup, ensuring that your devices stay up and running even when the power goes out. With 7 outlets—5 offering both battery backup and surge protection, and 2 with surge protection only—there’s plenty of room to protect all your essential gadgets. From computers and gaming consoles to routers and modems, this UPS has you covered. One of the most convenient features is the built-in USB charger port. At 1.5A, it’s perfect for keeping your cell phone or other small electronics charged during an outage. No more scrambling to find a power bank when the lights go out—just plug in and relax. The design is as practical as it gets. The 5′ power cord with a right-angle 3-prong wall plug makes it easy to tuck away behind furniture, and it’s wall-mountable too, so you can keep your setup neat and tidy. Plus, if you’re a Windows user, the Powerchute UPS management software gives you even more control, while Mac users can rely on native “Energy Saver” settings. What I love most is the replaceable battery. When the time comes, you can easily swap out the old battery for a genuine APC replacement (model APCRBC154), keeping your UPS running like new without having to replace the whole unit. It’s an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution that adds to the longevity of this already reliable device. In short, the APC UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector is a home essential. It’s not flashy, but when the power goes out, you’ll be glad you invested in it. Whether it’s for your home office, entertainment system, or just about anything else that needs protection, this UPS is the unsung hero keeping everything safe and sound.

Surge suppressor and uninterrupted power supply, medium-light voltage duty
Medium-light duty uninterrupted power supply. Peace of mind is worth the price.I have two other APCs, one heavy-duty one for the work computer, printers, and monitors, another for the smaller system downstairs and the router, and bought this as a gift for my spouse to use with a laptop and a couple of extra hard drives. All three units are working well and have saved us a lot of trouble (and possible harm to our data and hard drives) during power outages which we tend to get frequently in this area.Note: If your unit is alarming frequently (or at all) then you probably need to get a higher-voltage model. Turning off the alarm is not the solution. I originally bought one that was too low for my office setup, so I swapped it to the smaller system, and got a bigger one. That solved the problem. Now all three systems work great.

    Lasted just under 7 years
Did the job for 7 years. Just got the constant tone of death. Pretty good for the cost and a fairly decent battery life as well.

I use this device to provide power conditioning and uninterruptible power to my TV and related devices. It will allow me to power down these attached electronics in a controlled and timely manner if power is lost in the house. I get peace of mind knowing my investment in home entertainment is protected from “hard” shutdowns that are not good for senstive electronics.I have 4 APC UPC devices protecting computers, external hard drives and health related equipment in my home. I have used APC products for 10 + years and trust them to protect all my stuff.GordK

The UPS is great, been using it for over a week and throughout power outages and its been nothing but good. Its not the most powerful or not the most in battery life but its certainly enough for the average joe with their router. Its even good for a small amount of mobile power despite not being made for it, i wouldn’t suggest it as you can risj damage to your unit but as for me i am careful so i am fine (i am not responsible for any and all damages made to your unit(s). Any and all careless acts carried out by you is yours and your fault only.) Ease of use is great, just connect the battery, plug it in and hit the power button. Turns right on and starts working immediately, some things to note. In the event of a long term outage, i would recommend checking in on it every now and then as the default alarm doesn’t sound untie the battery is quite low. I would suggest either changing it or just checking in on it after a while. Other than that its a great little UPS and i would recommend it to others. One thing id like to see added is the ability for the ups to change the power button color depending on the SOC (state of charge) would be great to see that instead of a blinking green button till it starts beeping at you.

The 600VA model of this UPS is suitable for keeping network equipment (only) online for extended periods of time, or keeping a typical computer with monitor running long enough to save your work and shut down. The UPS includes 5 power outlets that are battery protected + an additional two that are surge protected only. Three of the battery protected outlets are well-spaced to accommodate power bricks. There is also a 1.5A@5V USB port which is also battery protected.Build quality seems good, and there are two cut-outs for wall mounting (and a template provided). The battery is standard UPS size and easily replaceable. The flexible portion of the power cable measures just over 60” in length; the flexible portion of the included USB cord measures just over 77” in length.I’m using this UPS to keep my NAS powered up in case of power interruptions. I connected the two together using the included USB cable, and the NAS knows the battery condition of the UPS, and will shut itself down when battery level is becoming critical. The UPS provides uninterrupted power during simulated power outages (i.e. when I unplug the cord), and my NAS is unaffected, aside from logging the event (“UPS on battery power”). With four hard drives in the NAS, my NAS predicts 55 minutes of runtime from a full charge.I’ve had similar APC UPSs in the past – note that if you are approaching capacity, they will beep almost non-stop, so make sure you buy one with plenty of spare capacity – this also buys you additional runtime during power outages.Overall, I’m happy with the performance for the price.
